E-REDES – Distribuição de Eletricidade, S.A. is Portugal’s main mainland electricity distribution system operator and integral part of EDP S.A.’s Networks Business platform. Operating over 236,100 kilometres of high, medium, and low voltage grids, the company serves 6.5 million customers distributing 46.5 TWh annually. Role of the Institute in the project: E-REDES leads critical infrastructure tasks including T3.3 (DSO data exchange interface development) and T6.3 (Portuguese pilot site field testing). They contribute DSO expertise to regulatory analysis, grid operator data protocols, dynamic tariff models, flexible connections, and billing integration across multiple work packages, supporting the project’s technical requirements and pilot implementation.
