Location: Lucerne, Switzerland
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) is the university of applied sciences of the six Central Swiss cantons. More than 8,100 students are working towards a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree, while an additional 12,000 participate in continuing and executive education programs – including almost 5,000 in CAS, DAS and MAS programs. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is the largest university level institution in Central Switzerland.
The role of the University in this project: HSLU is leading the pilot planning and solution deployment demonstrations with lab (hardware in the loop) and field testing of all 4 pilots in the project. HSLU will validate the solutions, perform an impact assessment and provide recommendations. With CELL, HSLU provides a pilot site in central Switzerland. HSLU will also contribute to data collection, data-driven analysis of the pilot communities, system requirements and KPI definition.
CELL: the Swiss pilot site in the INTELLIGENT project, with photovoltaics, hydroelectric power plant, battery storage, heat pump and electric vehicle charging stations.
